That looks so nice and neat. I want show mine that I build shelves for. It's hid behind a drapery panel for a door and no one can see them but me. You did a real neat job.

I redid mine last month from the tute, and am happy with the results...you however must have put in hours of work to make all of that fabric look so good :)

beautiful. I've organized mine too and just love how easy it is to find what I want. I've not bought any fabric since doing it!! I can save up now for a quilting retreat

Ok ladies, I have a question about everyone's stash. When I'm out at a fabric store, and I see something I just love but have no project in mind for, I'll just get a yard or 2. We don't have a lot of money for me to be buying a ton of excess fabrics with. So, do some of you buy entire bolts? Is a yard or 2 here and there enough to count as a "stash"? I have hundreds of different fabrics that are just a yard or 2 of each. I'm new, so I don't know if this is what other people's stash looks like, or if I should be buying more when I snag a beauty.

I buy a yard or two also. Sometimes three. If its for a backing then i buy whats on the bolt or six yards. five four... whatever. If its for a project then i get what the pattern calls for.

Ok, good. I was looking at the picture of the beautiful fabric room on this thread and thought, "I don't have entire bolts like that!" And then I worried that somehow I wasn't collecting correctly. I know each person is unique and there are no rules, but I'd hate to acquire all of this fabric and realize I haven't been collecting enough, you know?

    Beautiful...
Looks GREAT A lot of work... I am in the process of doing this to my sewing room, but a lot of time and work.

I just hope my sewing room looks 1/2 as great as yours.

they are not full bolts of fabric. Only most of them have five or six yards. one has nine but it is for a king size backing that I am doing BOM almost free quilt at the LQS
