    thank you all for your kind words. The name of the pattern I used to make it is called "Sun Glow". Instead of using blues for the sky and gold for the sun. this is what I opted to do. It is a fun pattern. Just a tad tricky. But, I like tricky. It definitely has it's possibilities. Thanks so much for your input. I value it tremendously.

    I am very glad you finished this quilt... it is beautiful.. love sunflowers, you quilting on the solid squares adds a wonderful touch...

    I'm almost through binding it. I went with the gold binding, only it is a little bit darker than gold I used in the quilt. It really sets it off. I will post a picture when I get it finished. Have two sides done but had to go to church today so haven't worked on it.
