I love this. Wondering how you do the binding at the corners?
Oh I cheated. I put the top of the piece down on the backing, I put right sides together. The back piece I had in 2 pieces I had sewed the edges down so there were no raw edges. I over lapped them like when you make a pillow. I sewed around all of it. then I trimmed it. I then added my batting to the top of the top piece, so it was batting, the top of the topper, then the back side. I then flipped it over, and sewed the batting down. I trimmed the batting and then turned it out so the right sides were outside the package--and the batting was in side. I then pressed it real good, then quilted it. I then put my circle in the middle on so it would be quilted also. I am sure my directions are as clear as mud. The thing is I don't do binding very well, and knew doing it on an eight sided topper sounded hard. This way there was nothing to tuck in and sew. I just made sure that the opening in the back was smooth so when I quilted it, it did not fold over or such. I thought that was an easy fix. Always trying to figure out how to do something that will look good, but as easy as I can do it.
