My thanks to this board for all the help
A couple of weeks ago I posted pictures of my project monkey wrench quilt and asked for your ideas about corner stones. I am posting a picture of the way it finished, as well as pictures of 2 other projects I finished. The autograph quilt was started by my Mom in 1970 and I finished it for her to give to my sisIL. All 3 quilts are for people I love.
Last month I posted questions about refurbishing/servicing Mom's 1935 Singer model 15. Joe, I especially want to thank you for advising a thorough cleaning before replacing the tensioner and the advice to clean the lower bobbin area. I was amazed at how much dirt/lint I removed. With just a good cleaning the machine now sews like a dream. I did not have to replace anything. In the process I read the machine's original manual and learned it is a 15-88, and that the difference between an 88 and an 89 is that the 88 came with a cabinet and treadle base while the 89 was a hand-crank portable. The electric motor was an add-on option that came out in 1936.
Again, thanks for all the help. You are the best.

What to say?!! Beautiful quilts! Love the colors and fabric in the monkey wrench quilt. The autograph quilt is so special to your family and it's great that you could finish it. And the 3rd one, (a string quilt?) is so bright and beautiful....I'm saving scraps to maybe some day do one!

Love, love, love the cornerstones in your BW&R quilt! It really enhances what is already a great quilt! The scrappy is bright and beautiful!! And the one your mother started and you finished is so special! I love signature quilts for all the meaning that they have for the recipient. Thanks for sharing!
