    Default My thread catcher

Went to a quilt retreat and saw several quilters using these awesome thread catchers in different shapes and sizes. They seemed super practical even to gather miscellaneous sewing notions.

Found a free pattern online and this is my thread catcher. I love that it does not take up working space.

Looks great! My cousin keeps one in her retreat kit and at both of her other machines.

I presume that the wee cushion thing is weighted somehow ?
Neat idea I admit I just use a wooden bowl to gather the threads.

Yes I used rice as that's what I had handy and bit of polyester stuffing so it serves as a pin cushion as well.

I use the padded part as a pin cousin, right next to my machine. Very handy,
