ooohhh... I love that! am bookmarking it. Would be fun to do for all the seasons. At thanksgiving, we display a Grateful Tree, just a leafless tree drawn with marker onto poster board that my husband has attached to a stand-up board. Everyone who comes for thanksgiving writes onto cut-out paper leaves all the things they are thankful for, and tapes them onto the tree. Then someone reads them aloud during our dinner. Wouldn't This be Perfect for that? I can make the tree & background from flannel, and have the children cut out solid fabric leaves! Thank you so much for this, rkayd!

thank you carol..thats a very lovely thing to say. I had a dream last night of a much fancier trunk. There is a tree in my yard that is very old...and I LOVE the shape of the trunk. It kinda leans where its been wind beaten but is still so strong and true .I think I will just have to do another with my tree as the model. =)

Very pretty. Looks like the leaves are lit from within somehow!
