    Default My trusty quilting friends...

Which one looks best? I've actually sewn one of these and wasn't quite pleased with the middle-left spike. It's too close to the fabric to the left of it. The other three I did on the computer, replacing the fabric with others that I have.

I have two other dark fabrics on order but, then I'd be waiting on them and you know how we quilters hate to wait when we're determined to do something.

#1 because it makes the 6 spikes in the back seem to recede which then adds depth to the design.

It depends on the effect you want. I like the upper left one because it stands out and is a really nice looking fabric. Upper right brings in another color family and has an excessively large pattern for this usage. Lower left feels like a different type of pattern. Lower right fits very well with the other fabrics. IMHO, a BIT more color and tone distinction is more effective. Now squint at it and see which one YOU like best. After all, YOU are the one who needs to be pleased.

I like #3, it just seems to blend well with all the other fabrics, BUT if you want it to pop more then #!

When I squint at it, #1 looks best. I sewed #4 then saw that it was too close to the other fabric next to it. I do like #3 though because that burgundy is another accent fabric so that ties it in. I like #2 because it has blue which the background fabrics have. Arrrggghhh!!!

    I think #1.... I guess.

I think 1 brings the most focus to the design. If you really want to use another fabric, I like the way 3 looks a lot.
