Enjoy your new to you machine I wound up inheriting my mothers Bernina's. I love to sew on the 1130 I have, then I share the 1230 with my gran daughters. They sure are great machines.

You have a treasure!!! I had a 830 that I purchased in1972 or 1973. I used it for many years and loved the machine. I remember paying $500 for it and all the attachments. I gave it to my sister at some point because I wanted her to give me back my Singer 401A. After she passed away I received it back. I sold it a couple of years ago to a friend and I have always been sorry! It is a marvelous machine and a real work horse. I have a BERNINA 1130 and B530. But, enjoy your 830 Record.

I have one just like it that I bought new. Still chugging along. Bought at new 440 a few years back but couldn't part with old faithful. It is a work horse.

Wow! You found yourself a fantastic deal & a workhorse of a machine. I had the 730 before yours & it served me quite well for 30 years. I now have the 1008, like to quite well.
