    That is really nice, modern and fresh. May I ask what batting you used? As a Queenslander I tend to like lighter quilts, and as a beginner I am thinking it may be easier to use flannelette as batting in my first quilts, or perhaps a thin cotton or bamboo? Congrats on the way your first completed quilt has turned out.

    Hi Lindy

    I used a polyester batting that I bought at Textile Traders here in Perth because it is light and I believe our weather here is a lot like Qld. It quilts beautifully too. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for responding Jendale. I like the look of thinner quilts rather than puffy. Hope mine turns out even half as good as yours has!
