    I think it's beautiful! I love the rail fence pattern as it's basic and makes me think of a log cabin (more than the log cabin pattern for some reason) and forest and trees. Maybe that's why there's one on my bed! Great job and can't wait to see your next quilt!

    Thanks very much..I was delighted when i was able to finish it and also did the binding and a bit of FMQ-all a first. I ahd such a sense of personal achievement..its not perfect but you learn so much. The rail fence is a good design for the first quilt..I picked what looked the easiest from the book I had.. and was really glad I did now,as there is a such a steep learning curve in all the sections of quiltmaking(groan!) Like you say, the rail fence is simple in one way but the colours can really make it hop! A full size one would look stunning.
