My vintage blocks - help!
I bought a set of vintage blocks several years back. I have a couple of questions I'm hoping you can help me with re them. Does anyone know if this is a named pattern or just some HST? Also, what color would you use to set these together? I have enough that, with sashing & a border, could be a smallish lap quilt. But I'm stumped about what color to use with them. Thanks in advanec for any help you can give me!

For contrast, the one color not represented already in these blocks is yellow. How about trying any value of that hue, even a beige. The pink just makes the blocks disappear in my opinion.

I agree don't use pink...on my iPad the background color looks red? What about blue and white? Or make you sash a little wider and put a half square triangl on point, when joined together it would resemble the block...

Black or a dark gray (kind of like the carpet they're pictured on) were my first thoughts. I agree that the pink doesn't make them snap but I love double pink & it's original to the blocks, so I will keep it.

My first thougt when seeing the blocks was black and/ or yellow the the firts two posts were black the yellow. Test them out I think they would really bring out the beauty og the blocks. Hope to see them done.
