My avatar is one I am getting the fabric together for. The blocks aren't my design and it is originally in bright batiks. I am using CW fabric and I added the border and the hearts in the centers.
So are you going to put it onto your blog as a giveaway like so many of the girls do? That would be a cool BOM and you would have tons of hits from it.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! You are all so talented. I am a beginner. My quilts are usually tied unless they are baby size. I would love to do what all of you can do. I pray for more money to do more quilts so that I can get better. I love looking at what all of you have done, this is in my blood, my great, great did it, my great grand did it, my grandmother did it, and my aunt does it, I am teaching myself to do it, I think that I would like a teacher though. Thanks for the pictures. Tina

I started the quilting. I can't say that I am totally happy with it, I'm just not that good at it yet. I was thinking I was ruining it and just wanted to give up. Then I thought... It's mine. All my work, whether good or bad, it's mine.

I'll just do what I can and hopefully have no regrets. In a few years when I look back at it I'll probably cringe but, I'm not going to get anywhere if I don't try.

I also decided to cut off the outer white row of the border. The binding fabric is the same as the red around the scallops and I think it will look better to end right there instead of a white strip and then the red binding again.

The border is fantastic. Looks like you have a good plan for the quilting. Can't wait to see it finished. Looks like your next one will be a beauty too!!
