    There should be a serial number and a date of manufacture on the nickel plate to the right of the presser foot. Tell us the birthdate of your No. 9!

    The S/N on my Wheeler and Wilson treadle machines is 2562153. I figured I could find out her Bday from the S/N.

    Thanks for reminding me to publish it here. Perhaps someone has more info on the Weeler and Wilson mfg dates and can tell me when she was born.

    I haven't named her yet, but I'm leaning toward Sadie or Sabrina -- no particular reason but either name seems to fit her.
