This is my first UFO I have finished. It is call the Whitework Sampler, By: Lydia Quigley, pattern from Keepsake Quilting.

I has over 295 leaves on the border alone. That is why it was on my UFO self.

Beautiful! Is that all done by hand? I have a Hawaiian quilt pillow I am making for my DGD and am having trouble mastering the hand-stitching technique. My right wrist doesn't bend too well so I just can't seem to get the stitches to suit me.

No, I machine applique it. But I do hand applique, so I know what you mean about hand getting tired.

Wow, Lynn, what a spectacular piece of work! Do you have a quilt show to enter it in next season? I'm inclined to think a couple of rosettes and ribbons would set it off nicely LOL.
Congratulations on a wonderful quilt. You must be very proud (and relieved) to get it off the shelf. Hey! You've completed a PhD! (Project half Done........sounds so much smarter than UFO and people look at you admiringly when you tell them you can't take anything else on until you finish your PhD!)
