This is a top that I started last night with my church quilting group. About 7 of us in the group are all making quilts with this same pattern. I chose to use some of my new Oriental fabrics. A couple of you asked to see this so..... Oh I used 22 Oriental Florals and the black is an oriental with the gold etching too. I still have to add a 1 1/2 border of the black all the way around and then a 4 1/2 to 5 1/2" border of one of the blue background prints. DH made me take this picture tonight as soon as I told him that some or you wanted to see the WIP.

Sorry, I forgot to turn this right side up. DH and DS's Girlfriend were holding this for me.

YEAH!! Thank you, Gayle!! I LOVE it! I love the "weave" and your fabrics are perfect for it!

I cannot believe how fast you made this--did you not say "this is the quilt I STARTED last night" ???? Do you eat or sleep???

I bet this quilt did not even put a dent into all your new oriental fabrics either!! Whatcha gonna make next?

I cut most of the fabrics Thursday night but didn't start sewing until around 6 Friday. We had dinner about 7 and I sewed until 10:30 then went back and sewed from 10 - 3 with lunch in the middle. It is a real fast and easy sew, the longest part was figuring out the weave and deciding to make it bigger and which fabrics to add for that. I hope to get the borders on tonight, Sunday night, my DH runs a college group that meets Sunday evenings and so I get to stay home and sew.

I only used a 4 1/2" strip from each of 22 fabrics, so an eighth of a yard. Lots left to do something else with!!!
