Well I snatched it right up. A little hot water and oxyclean took the water stain out and it looks great. It's such a shame when people don't care for the love and care it takes for someone to make a quilt for them. This quilt even has scalloped edges.I am proud to give it a new home and to take care of it.
AMEN TO THAT!! It is beautiful! I'm glad you rescued it!!

Can you just feel the love that lady had for this couple to go to all of the trouble to do all that hand work? Its a real shame. At least now this beautiful old quilt will be loved and used! Good for you.

    its a beautiful quilt.

i guess the moral of the story is to give people what they would like to receive as a gift instead of what we would like to give them.

not everyone loves nor wants a quilt

What a lovely quilt, and what an uncaring (former) owner. Hope you have many years of enjoyment from it.
