    It's my favorite kind of quilt and I wish it could tell it's story. All those old clothes have been around, don't you think?

    That's very pretty Ditter. My son lives in DB Fl. and he bought a quilt top at an estate sale for 50 cents that looks a lot like that one. It's made out of polyester scraps (remember when we wore dresses made out of that) and he brought it to me the last time he came home for a visit. It is a little heavy and I don't know exactly what to do with it. I think I'll get a nice piece of flannel and tie it and give it to the homeless shelter. I don't need it. It's too heavy for batting. It smelled musty and I had to wash it. It washed real well.

    Someone spent a lot of time on all those blocks and you sure got your $$$'s worth on it. Yay for you & enjoy your mending! :D

    It looks like the designer started with the block in the center and kept adding frame after frame around the outside from that spot. Is it actually quilted or is it just a quilt top? I don't see any quilting stitches but they might just not show in the photo. In any case it is a find.
