    Katie picked this one as hers...had enough to make a little lap quilt in complimentary colors.Took awhile..as it was hand quilted...but made it by her graduation.

    Sandra, The quilt is gorgeous! Did you also hand applique all those flowers as well as hand quilt it? This a a treasure for your daughter.

    Yes...I did it by hand, flowers and all. The petals were put on in a circle individually so they overlapped. they are also stuffed.The circle in the center was appliqued on top of the petals. In the beginning they looked like the top half of a heart, I thought. One block at a time and pretty soon they were all ready to be put together. I did use the machine to put the blocks together, then went back to hand quilting. It was a warm winter for me. She is happy with it.

    whoa! I thought the flowers looked "fluffy". I see they're stuffed. Hand quilted. That's a lot of quilting! Looks absolutely wonderful!!!

    That is beautiful! After all that hard work, I'd be hesitant to give it to someone, or frankly, even use it!

    I hope your daughter realizes how blessed she is to have you for her mother!

    Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL. It really caused me to hold my breath a second. I fell in love with everything about it. WOW. Your daughter is very blessed. #1. A Mother who dose such beautiful work.
    #2 And that she was the one who was the reciever.
