You make my day as this is the first question I can answer on this board
Its a simple tubequilt. You sew for example two 2" stripes together with a 1/4" seam, iron to the dark side and put an 3.5" stripe (on the picture the floral) right sides together on top of it. Sew both sides with an 1/4" seam and cut triangles with an 45degree ruler. Four of those give you a block.

There is a tutorial on youtube, just google for tubequilt.

Also called Hour Glass. It's just so striking, I think!

Lovely quilt. In my opinion, simple designs in striking
    fabrics/colors win every time!

    Granny,
I want to say thank you. I watched the vidio, so now I atleast know how to make it. I had already bought material for it but don't know if I have enough. So that's why I wanted a pattern to see how much of each fabric. One of the fabrics I can't seem to find any where. It didn't have any name on selvage. So I guess I'll just start it & see what happens. It just might not be as big as I wanted it. Thanks again Granny.

I made this quilt from that pattern and added sashing between the blocks. Might help you to end up with the desired size.
Very glad I was of any help

Do a search at top of this page & you'll see several tube quilts, some different, but all use basic blocks.
