    I am not a teacher, but I can appreciate the good work...A+ for you. Really like your idea of stitching the name...now, why did I not think of that ????

    This is great! My daughter (also a teacher) just got married last weekend. I think I'll do a similar one for her. It will help the student remember her new last name. Thanks for the idea. Cheers!!

    Actually, that would be a great art project for her students. After I retired, I went into the classroom to do quilting projects with fifth graders. Two of the classes did redwork embroidery and one class did crayon work on fabric. It was amazing to see especially those boys with the embroidery. There were many success stories.

    The redwork was put together in quilts for each class; the crayon work was made into pillows.
