What a great quilt. Really a 'guys' quilt.
The thread painting really adds dimension.
I'm sure your son will treasure his quilt.

Such a great quilt!!! You sound a lot like me; ready for a challange! I have always changed patterns, dreamed up my own patterns and somethime just started something without knowing where I will end up! I have an idea for a quilt for my single son, who has a thing for the Tazmanian Devil.
Searched on line for fabric with that motif but could only find some small transfers. Have printed out the pictures and am planning to place an enlarged drawing on material and hand-paint it, then plan what to use for a border. Have found some material in red with black animal footprints on it. Want to use black, red, white and maybe grey for colors, as his new pickup (his pride and joy) is black, with Taz floor mats, mud flaps and lots of chrome.
Will put some pictures up when it starts to jell!
