This one took me about a year. I fabric painted all the panels, designed it as I went, FMQed it all myself and had no idea what I was doing the entire time :) Lots of improvising! He lives in Montana and couldn't wait to get it. His kitty is quite happy too I hear.

I had good help in the beginning

That is beautiful! So much detail work...no wonder it took a year to do.

    Wow, it's beautiful.
It look like you knew what you were doing.
That was a big task to take on for the first time.

That is so awsome..........are they pillow forms?
I love it and that is like the one I want to make for one of my son's......Years ago I made one with pillow forms, didn't know a thing about quilting but did my best. Came out to small for his double bed but he liked it alot and still has it. I was thinking about trying to make a his and her's quilt. Nature on one side and flowers or something girly on the other. What do you think???

I was pretty relieved to deliver it to its rightful home. It was a learning quilt so I probably worked 10 times harder on it than the ones I'm working on now, lol.

These were just material panels, it's the quilting that makes them look fluffy. I love those double sided quilts. I just can't figure out how to match up the sewing from front to back??? I bet yours would look great!
