Navy Challenge Quilt
#63
Now you all are making me miss my sailor son. He's a nuke on the USS Ronald Reagan and from what I know, he's somewhere on the water. Because you know, he'd tell me but then he'd have to kill me LOL
I've been wanting to make him a quilt so bad but it would just disappear, and I don't even know if they're allowed to have them.

I was a Navy Corpsman - stationed at NAS Whiting Field outside of Pensacola, married a flight engineer on P-3's, my brother retired as a Senior Master Chief. All three of us would be proud to have this quilt. Wonderful job.
By challenge do you mean they asked more than you to do this and they might not choose yours - I think they should have just commissioined (and paid) you to do it. Don't see how they could turn you down. Must have been a chore to find all the fabric to fit the Naval aviation theme.
