And I am a wild child so I love the plaid. I say it isn't going to matter, the quilt is going to be gorgeous no matter which you decide on. Sometimes there is no one great choice, there are several great choices.

I like the blue also, however I am not one that likes plaids. Just my thought.

I've used this method several times now. Easy to do & I love the special touch it adds.
Love that technique! Bookmarked that tut!

I'd use both. Try my lazy method, which isn't a long strip for a border, but lots of border blocks. Do a thin strip of one of your border choices to go next to the block, the same width as the small square next to the blue star points, then a broad strip of the other colour the same width as the bigger square which is next to the red star points, then a thin strip of the background colour, then bind it with red. To make it more interesting alternate the blue and plaid on the border blocks, so the first one is blue, plaid, background, the second one is plaid, blue background etc etc.

Either way will be just fine but personally, I like the plaid as a strong border statement. It ties in to the center. But the blue would be good binding.

See what happens when you ask us? :-)

Well, the only person you need to please is YOURSELF.
