need help with this baby drunkard's path
I bought these already pre-cut in a package from a quilt store that was going out of business at 30% off. It really was a good deal, I sewed them all together. The problem is it came with no pattern of how to assemble the blocks. I've twisted and turned, twisted and turned, and cannot come up with a good pattern. The blocks turned out 5x5". Please can someone give me an idea how to assemble them to look nice?? There are alot of pics I'm sending. The print is seww cute. There are 36 blocks total.
1st pic has 4 blocks
2nd pic has 12 blocks
3rd pic has 8 blocks
4th pic has 4 blocks
5th pic has 8 blocks
6th pic is 44x 8", I'm assuming for the boarder
7th pic is 1 1/4 yard, I'm assuming for the backing
So... anyhelp would be appreciated.

If you go to google type in drunkards path and like on the image link you will see tons of them. I love making them. I do the easy way. applique a 8 inch circle to a 10 inch square and cut it in qtrs. Then sew them back together.

Ok, you have 4, 8, 12, 8 and 4 right?
One of sets of 4 can go in the center
One set of 8 surrounds that creating a diamond type design
The set of 12 surrounds the diamond making a larger diamond
The second set of 8 begins the corner triangles squaring it up
The final set of 4 finishes the corners creating your completed square
If you consider your sets of 4 as A & E, your sets of 8 as B & D, and your set of 12 as C....
E D C C D E
D C B B C D
C B A A B C
C B A A B C
D C B B C D
E D C C D E
Now you just have to figure out which ones work best as which letter and how to twist and turn them to your satisfaction!
I think it will be really cute when you get done.
Let us know how it works out!
