    Could you perhaps use the burgundy that you love as a narrow contrasting border to one of the other background colours followed by a border of your original fabric.

    Right now I'm doing what MadQuilter suggested. I have some blocks layed out on each of the colored backgrounds and I just look at them each time I pass by to see which one "talks" to me the loudest. I've NEVER been so indecisive on ANYTHING IN MY LIFE as I've been with this quilt! :? :? :?

    These kinds of decisions can just drive us crazy!! The burgundy is a nice color, but the one you have there looks too 'flat'. The gold/yellow has that floating effect -just beautiful. Don't forget to look at them in natural daylight..that might help.
