Need help with a border
#1
I just finished putting together the eye spy squares that I received from the Eye Spy swap on this board. I want to add a 3-4 " border but I'm not sure what color to use. I'm going to bind it in black. I bought this fabric for a border but now I think it's too busy. Its yellow with lady bugs. Maybe I should use this for another quilt. The quilt is going to be for my 1 yr old granddaughter. Would a tone on tone be better? Thanks to those who participated in the swap. I love the squares. Can anyone give me some ideas. Thanks.

You don't think it would be too busy. On the back I wanted to use the material hanging on the chair in the 2nd picture. It has the lady bugs, butterflies, and caterpillars. Very bright and I thought would catch her eye.

How about a solid light colred border with writing embroidered all around the quilt ... something like " I spy with my little eye, something beginning with...." like the poem.
It's past my bedtime - best I can come up with!

Love both prints. Would definately use the ladybugs for the border and I love the busy print on the back. Kids love these colors and it's just going to work well when it's done. Please share a finished photo. I think you did great.
