So pretty! What a great way to put a quilt together! Looks like it would be fun to do!

I just bookmarked this pattern...I have a jelly roll that is crying out to be used. This will look perfect with it. I think the 50" by 53" is a bit big for a crib...I want to say 40" X 50" would be oversized enough....But, we each have our own preferances....

This is a very sweet design. Please don't get hung up on exact details. Made with either 2.5 or 3" strips, it would be lovely. Since I don't know the size of the original, it would be impossible to know exactly, but I suspect it was designed for jelly rolls. The same thing could be made in blues and greens for a boy, with a star, a puppy, or other applique at the crossing. When I make crib quilts, I go with 41x54, or thereabouts so that the backing does not need to be pieced and because I prefer to work with Thermore batting. Of course, if you are not worried about piecing segments, you could do this as 4 QAYG units, adding the applique later.

Beautiful quilt. Good luck figuring out the math part. I think you could make it up to fit about any width, but suspect it was a jelly roll.
