    I agree !!!! I think that is more coordinating with the fabric and won't distract from it.

    Like the idea of two, yellow then red. Can I ask where you got the material? Have an adult firefighter (career & volunteer) and would love to be able to get some. Thanks

    How about a tri colour?
    thin yellow, then black, then fire engine red (wider than the yellow though not too wide), then black widest strip)

    Is the main part of the quilt, just the printed fabric? Then what about a piano key border in all the assorted colours from the quilt?

    Either the red or yellow. The black blends too much with the background of the fabric.

    Where did you get this fabric? I have been looking for some to make a Christmas stocking. I always like to personalize the stockings by using material that depicts their job or hobby.
