    need your expert advise which color would you pick, thank you all in advance, i also have gray

    red

    I'd go with the yellow or the red, it compliments the black in the body of the quilt. The black would just blue the lines and it would look like a lot of blank spaces.

    Have you considered two borders, a one inch border and then a second wider border. Use the brighter of the fabric you chose for the one inch.

    It is looking great so far.

    It is looking great so far.
    I like this idea of the BRIGHT small next to the main (make it POP), then a larger for the last/outer border.

    Also, is this for a child, or maybe a grown up firefighter? If for a child, I'd make it as bright as you can. If an adult, a little more sophisticated maybe

    Either would look nice, but I think the red (it looks more maroon in the pic??)

    But final decision should be what YOU like or think the firefighter might like :lol: :thumbup:
