I agree with you about the black hole not being the best look, but I keep seeing it with an embroidered smiley on the black hole. Of course, that may be because I'm an embroidery addict.

I like numbers 2 and 3...I think the novelty of #2 makes it my pick. The extra flower in the center makes it unique and unexpected.

I like the second one with the flower in the middle also it is so so pretty
and I think the black hole one needs somthing added to the black to bring it out more, but the second one has my vote, just beautiful!!!

I like the overlap and the flower. It softens the pattern and gives more interest. Make sure you center it - as a t-shirt quilt maker, I noticed the difference side to side.
