    Very pretty.

I like it the way you have it in the picture. It flows nicely!

I like the way it is now. Different from the normal boxy sashing. I also don't see the Strawberry Shortcake puking everywhere. You have just looked at it to much. Very cute quilt. Please posted the finished top.

I think I'd like to see sashing in the other direction too. It would give it a "block" look, equating to a baby block. I'd also like to see some of the darkest pink used for the border. It might set it off to perfection.

    Nice job!

I guess I just like things balanced and I would prefer the sashing going both ways.

Both ways! If you had sewn the blocks together and added long continuous sashing between the rows it would be lovely the way you have it, but sewing the white sashing will make it look disjointed.... But that might just be me!

I decided to go as is - I like it like this and I'm not sure I'd like it w/ the additional sashing. And, honestly, it's easier. LOL I really appreciate everyone's input. Thanks so much!

Beautiful quilt. I would add the white. Just my opinion.

I didn't add the extra sashing, but I did make the border about 3" wide. I have finished the top, pieced the backing and have it mostly basted. The backing is cream colored fleece but it wasn't big enough so I used some of the extra strips on the back too. I'll take some pictures later when the kids pick up their toys and I have room to lay it out.

My next question is... what do you suggest for the quilting? I don't feel like the traditional diamond pattern will look good on the front. I don't have a darning foot so I can't do free motion. I'm thinking about doing a simple square outline inside each block, then maybe doing /\/\/\/\/\/\ on the borders. I'm open to suggestions!
