Yes, I do make them new quilts every year. This year, my son will get Monopoly, my daughter is getting drunkard's path cats, and my sil will get scrappy trees.

You have done a great job on the quilt and you can't quit now or it will haunt you. Set aside an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening if you can and just work on it that way. You will know then that you will have just a short time to work on it and then you will get it done soon.
Just keep on keeping on and it will soon be a beautiful quilt. If he suggests another hard one tell him only if he helps you with it.

Keep on going, it will be worth the effort at the end as it is a beautiful quilt. Love the blocks in the backing, what a fantastic idea.

Doesn't look like you have that much more to go! Is there any way you could simplify it to make it easier to finish? After all, only YOU know all about the quilt that's in your head--that doesn't mean the finished quilt has to match it! I think it's pretty awesome just the way it is! Try doing just a little bit every day--sometimes it gets easier once you just get started again. And every little bit you do puts you a little closer to the end!

looks good to me! your son is a lucky guy, and think of all the learning you are getting with him thinking outside the box. (: i know how frustrating it can be when it seems like the same project keeps going on forever but it looks like it is almost done and like Harmony said, you are the only one who knows what's in your head. i'd probably try to get done the things that are absolutely necessary and then add the rest on one peice here and there and then start to add the backing ect when you feel you'll have a bit of time to work on that slowly. i'd like to see some of your other quilts. this one is very interesting. it's refreshing to see something totally original.
