Need some opinions.

That is an idea, but I have no idea how to do that. Lining in triangle. THis is the first time I tried the DP9 and I took that pattern from one of the sites that offer lots of free patterns. I'm going to do some experimenting today with sashing and other things and see what happens. If I still can't be satisfied, my husband really liked the first layout and he may get it.

I like all the layouts, but I favor the single block in the first picture of single blocks. I have made d9p method and just put them together randomly. The quilt is very bright with Oregon Duck fabrics and the back is bright yellow fleece. It is for my son and he loves it! I think you can put it together however is pleasing to you. Go for it!

Well I decided to go ahead and put it together as in the first picture. As I join all the blocks, it is starting to look better. I hope by time I get it sewn together I will at least be in like with it. I think I figured it out, the bright red block is just slapping me in the face more than I like.
