    Default Need some opinions.

I started to make a quilt out of all the red and black fabrics in my stash. It was suppose to be a DP9 eventually, but I think I did something wrong when cutting and the 9 blocks ended up making a huge block. Fine, I still quarterd the one large block and have been trying to put them together to look, well ok.
I'm not happy with the couple tops I have arranged.
So trying to totally save this, how do you think they look if I actually made triangles out of the the quartes and then arranged them into blocks. Posting pictures so you can see. For now the blocks are just folded in half.
I'm about ready to put this thing away forever and try something else. First to are arrangements of the top the rest are just experimental blocks if I split the other blocks.

What if you put all the squares with the small checker square in the top left? I like the arrangements you do have, just thinking of own options

Looks like you did everything right! I like the D9P layout in your first picture. Your second picture is also very interesting. I think you did a great job and either one will be a beautiful quilt!

I like the quilt lay outs and also the triangels, I'd say there is noway you can go wrong with this. Show us what you decide.

Does it look like a DP9? I feel like it doesn't. Maybe I need to put it back the way it was and look at it for a couple days. My husband liked it to. Maybe it is the checks throwing it off.

JenOSU, I will give your idea a try to.

I don't see anything wrong with either of the layouts and it looks like a DP9 to me. I also like the tirangles . You could do one of each. I love the colors, you did good with them.

I like them both, don't see anything to be concerned about. Just wait until they are quilted, what a difference it will make!!
