I wanter a summer looking quilt and found this pattern for hot air balloons.

Now I would love some suggestions on how to proceed from here. Have to say this was the fastest quilt I ever made - only took about 3 days. It was Fun to do.

Just have to decide how to embellish it now:

Not happy with baskets on smaller balloons so will have to experiment with scraps on how to blend the colors or make more lines so they appear smaller ????

Make a strand of beads or ??? to run down where each color strip ends on large balloon

Make a tassel of some sort (from embroidery floss ?) from balloon to basket on large balloon and let hang from bottom of basket or ???

Put hot fix crystals on the smaller balloons

    OR ???????????

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Embroidery floss would make the lines stand out more. Nice quilt.

What about an embroidery stitch to make it look like a rope? Little tiny sand bags would be cute to add to the edges of the baskets.

Look at pictures of real hot air balloons.

As mentioned: sand bags and land lines trailing. Lines connecting the basket to the balloon.

    But also:
    the burner
lines across the balloon to show the structural lines (they appear to go across the balloon)
The largest one you might consider a silhouette of a person waving.
Or silhouette of a person on the ground waving to the balloons.

When I quilt it, I would do lots of wind blowing across the quilt.

I like the idea of a person watching. Hope that something like that isn't hard to find.

Thanks for the ideas so far

Attaching the basket to the balloon would be great. It is an awesome quilt. The colors are so wonderful and I love the design.

Could you put some logos on some of the balloons.
