Ok, here goes nothing. I'm having alot of trouble taking pictures and getting the right colors to show up. It's dark and cloudy today. I even tryed to take pics on the clothes line. I have every light in the room on to take these. Let me know if you think these show up better

I agree, definitely the green and not the blue. The brown of the green blends better, and the flower color pulls out and coordinates with the pinks in the quilt better, plus the design is better-not as busy. The other border is too dark and too busy. It almost seems to clash with the rest. Whichever you choose, I know it will be beautiful! Good job!

I would go with a very thin dark pink red border (as in blocks) next, then use pink/green fabric. I would also bind in dark pink red, the dark pink red will pop your quilt and add dimension to it.

Your top looks beautiful. As for the border the colors aren't showing so well on my computer the green and the blues kind of look the same to me. I like the first picture with the floral border whichever that one is.

It's all about the lighting when taking pictures. Sometimes if you can't get enough light on a subject you can use a reflective item like those car window shades that are silver. You can have someone hold it and direct more light onto your subject. The gold ones give a warm cast to skin tones when taking pictures of people. Just random trivia :-)

I can't use the pink for a border, I don't have any left. That is why there is so much red, I didn't have enough of the pink to begin with. The original pattern didn't have red. But, the red and green match my house, and I think it will hang in my bedroon when I finish it.
I have a hard time finding green/red patterns that don't end up looking like Christmas, that I like/want to make.

I like the tan fabric you have now as a narrow border. By the way I don't think it looks like a Christmas quilt at all ;-)

No, this one doesn't look like Christmas. It looks old, and that matches my house. It's full of antiques my Dad gave us.
