A young family in our area was robbed-- the wife had been in the hospital for several weeks and when the family all got home to their apt, it had been cleaned out by theives. They have a 7 month old baby! Can you imagine anything that low? Our church is helping them get back on their feet, and I needed a really fast baby quilt to give... I used some cute fabrics I had and made this:

A very sweet quilt and a very sad story! I'm glad they have people like you in their lives to help them rebuild.

It is very sweet! A friend also shared with me a simple pattern where you start with a center panel 6-1/2" x 18'1/2" (cut) and keep adding 6-1/2" strips all the way around to make it as big as you want. Alternating light and dark colors is best.
