Kudos to your son. He did well. Wonder how old that machine is?

Looks like the old hammered finish. Not rough, but knubby(sp).

Thats just what I was going to say..(Great minds think alike :-D ) I have always loved that cabinet style and the machine is wonderful!

What is the serial number on the machine and I can help you date it. I am thinking somewhere in the mid to late 20's but I wont know for sure until I see the number.

Looks like only the top of the cabinet needs new veneer.

The rest of it looks like it could be stripped with a
regular stripping product and steel wool. What a beauty!!!

Ooopps I did a typo, I meant "Wrinkle" and not crinkle. :roll: While I was typing I was talking to my wife about the different names they called that finish through the years.
