I could just shoot myself for being such a procrastinator but my nephew's quilt is done. I decided to machine bind it since I'm so slow at hand binding and I'm disappointed with the result but there's just no time to undo it all so I'm calling it done. I also on a whim decided my DH's grandmother needed a lap quilt so threw a top together today for her. Luckily I won't see her until sometime after Christmas and will hopefully have time to get hers done properly.

Izy yours was way more detailed than mine!! The fabric for my nephew's was purchased at JoAnn's. They are charm packs and jelly rolls but I don't remember the manufacturer sorry. And thanks for the compliments.

I forgot to add, the fabric for grandma's quilt was all free from Freecycle! The center roses were already pre cut (the owner must have had a plan that never got finished) and I have several left over.

I keep hearing about freecycle, is it like an exchange site, where you advertise anything you want to give away?

Yeah Izy that pretty much sums it up. I'm not sure if it's just a US thing or not though. You can list what you have to give away or make requests for something you want. Freecycle is a national thing but listed by counties for each state so I search my county and my surrounding counties for free things!
