    Thanks for all your nice comments!!
    And I forgot to say that you can use many different fabrics for these kind of a blanket: cotton, fleece, flannell, silk,.... it should have a good "grip"!!! And I like to sew fabric with motives on so that there is something catching the eyes!!

    My dad died from dementia - one of these would've been great for him. He was always fidgeting with his hands with imaginary items. I did find a big beaded (just smaller than marbles) necklace that he would handle efficiently. I kept it as it brought him many hours of manipulation. This is a great idea!

    Hello, I use pieces of fabric with the size of about 8"x8", some blankets have 4x4 -- 16 blocks or 4x3 -- 12 blocks!!
