Those are wonderful! My mother had Alzheimer's and we supplied things for her to stroke, twiddle with, etc. I wish I had thought to provide something like these. Bless you!

my Mom had Alzheimers so I know that they have restless hands....what an occupying thing....something like this would also work for kids with Autism as they have a sensory problem....

I had no idea! I will add this to my list of projects to do. There are more than enough care facilities in this area that could use a dozen I'm sure. I will make 2 and go inquire. Maybe I will make 1 and keep it. My grandmother had dementia and it was tough on my sister and brother who lived there for several years so mum and dad could care for them. One time grandma sneaked out of the house in the morning and stripped naked in the front bushes, placed a paper bag over her head and jumped out laughing and screaming as my 8th grade (at the time) sister was to board the bus. she waved them on and took grandma back to the house. sigh funny NOW, but my sister died a lil inside that day. junior high kids were mean even back then.

These are wonderful, and will be a blessing for them. Bless you for your generosity!

Thank you, Regina! I'm going to make one for my brother. For him Alzheimers is a blessing. His doctor says he will forget Viet Nam and will no longer have PTSD. I can't imagine which is worse.

What a wonderful gift to those in need. I'm sure that the families are grateful for your effort to help calm their loved ones.
