THANK YOU SO MUCH!! DANKESCHöN!! With your inspiration I just finished one for my brother. I hope he likes it half as much as I liked making it for him.

Wonderful ideas! I have worked in Long Term Care settings, and you are so right about the need for this type of thing. And much more dignified than giving someone a baby doll to rock...plus many older people are cold, and these would be snuggly and warm! I hope you don't mind if I "borrow" your idea and make some of these to hand out. My Mom is a lung cancer survivor, she crochets lapghans and scarves that we donate to our local shelters. While Mom works on those, I can work on these! My Nanny (Mom's mom) passed away after suffering years from Alzheimer's, so these are an extra special idea you have come up with! Bless you.

Thank you for a wonderful idea! My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago with Alzheimer. I am beginning to notice he fidgets while he is resting or watching TV, especially in the evening. I have a lot to learn about the disease, and I want to be prepared. Thanks again.

The measurements: there are no "hard" prescriptions, I use blocks of size about 8"x8", sometimes I made 4x4 blocks, sometimes 3x4 blocks... Ending measurement about 32 to 35 inches of square blankets. The scarfs are about 8" wide: the left overs when I cut the 8x8 inches blocks, and about 50" long!!
Some importent notices: everything must be fixed very strong, so that it won't go off while someone is twiddling!!! And all stuff should be washable!!!
And I also want to say a big "THANK YOU" to all of you out there for your praise and blessings, you are all so kind!!!
Thank you ! god Bless you.
