The log cabin block is one of my favorites and the fabrics Doris chose for her log cabin quilt made it so very elegant. Notice the touch of lace randomly placed around in the quilt. I'm going to nickname Doris' quilt "Girls best Friend" referring to the quilted diamonds. When Doris brought it to me, I mentioned that there would be a lot of stopping and starting in the quilting, but once I began stitching I was able to hide the stitches connecting the diamonds in the ditch. The book "Quilting Makes the Quilt" inspired me to quilt the diamonds.

WOW This is GORGEOOUS. The colors really go together and the quilting really sets it off. This is truly worth the time and effort put forth to complete. Well done by both. Love it.

FABULOUS Bobbi! I have never seen a LC quilted this way and it really gives it a dynamic and different look. At first glance I thought it was one of those spiral LC blocks. I really love it and the little pumpkin seed quilting in the middle of each quilted star is a great touch. Think I will have to look into getting that book as this quilt is inspirational! The soft neutral colors that she chose for the quilt, combined with your out of the box quilting turn the humble log cabin into an elegant masterpiece.
