Default Never again

Unless it isn't made out of denim. I collect so many jeans that I could make another one but no way. This is a queen size and very heavy. The color flannel is from hubby s shirts. I had my grandson in mind when I started it but now I'm not sure because now both he and his brother want it. I'm thinking of making another quilt using up the jeans only this time something easier. Just a square of some kind. Hope this picture post ok so you can see what I have been up to.

Wow that is a lot of work! Great job. Yes the next one could be done with squares the same way.

That's a wonderful quilt! What was it about it that makes you say "never again?" Was it the weight? I've thought about doing one of these but I haven't decided yet.

Below is a link to a good thread a few months ago about denim quilts. Several people posted pictures throughout the thread that might give you some ideas if you don't want to do the circles again. See page 3 for some interesting versions of denim quilts from Quiltedsunshine. You can PM her for info on her patterns and templates.

Great Quilt! I'm not sure my hands would hold up to do that!

I have seen a lap size quilt exactly like yours and it weighed a ton. Yours is beautiful I'm sure it is very very heavy.

Nice quilt! I made a jean quilt several years ago. Its the most love quilt in the house and family. Heavy and warm. Sweety takes it camping in the cooler months. The only thing I don't like is even though its about 10 yrs old it still sheds really bad in the washer.

I can see why they both want it, it's beautiful! But you're right, your next denim quilt can be a more simple design to make things easier on you, and just as gorgeous!

Love this quilt. My sister made one like it also. So much work and she said hers weighs a ton and said the weight kept pulling while sewing and it and was hard to sew straight. Then cutting and fraying all of it. She did a great job and so did you. She also says never again.
