Never Laugh at Live Dragons, Bilbo...

Love it! The detail in your dragon is stunning, especially the way you quilted the wings!
I've been thinking about asking my son if he could draw a simple sleeping baby dragon for me to use in a quilt, he draws much better than I do. It's great when you can have a project where the two of you use different skills and come up with something amazing!

I am dumbfounded by that, I cannot see how it could possibly be better, it is spectacular!
This little (54X39ish) quilt started out as a whim. I asked my son to draw me a largish dragon that I could then put into a quilt. The drawing (on butcher paper) was folded up and stashed behind my desk for ages. I ran across it while cleaning and, since I was 'between' quilts, I decided to do something with the dragon.
I'm not totally happy with it (hence the title which is a quote from 'The Hobbit"). Creativity stalled out on me several times and I had to give myself a good old fashioned talking to...."Get upstairs and get that Dragon finished" I said.... And then I would find something else I needed to do. sooooo long story short, I did finally finish it and I'm happy that it is done!
