It's absolutely beautiful!! My husband is from Peru and I've been there many times. When you go to the artisans booths over there you just drool over all the beautiful things that the village people make. And the food..forget about it...some of the best food in the world!

That is beautiful. You have a great wife, in case you didn't know. I think she might be a keeper.

Such a work of art and such a stunning visual. Pretty cool. No way will you have to worry about someone having the same thing.

From a website it says," The figures are formed from a mix of plaster and cooked potato". I don't know much more than that. They are made from Mexico, down through some parts of South America, and are primarily religious, thematically. This Artist, is somewhat unique in that he also does secular scenes, along with the religious ones.

Love, love, love it, nice to learn about your Retablo....can you give an estimated total dimension size please? Never mind, just reread the posts and found measurements, much small than I thought. I've never seen or heard about these, so interesting! Could be why I like doll houses also.

    Your wife is a keeper.
