Sewbiz & Wildyard....just beautiful and rich colors you are using. I've made several CW quilts but it's been awhile. Got distracted with "way bright" but these warm colors appeal to me.

Blue Bell... This is right up your alley so I can't wait to see what you create...

Nice blocks, Linda! And great stars... mine are still missing a few tips of points here and there. Still trying. I better get this week’s blocks done before next week’s come out.

Made my third week's blocks today: 9, 10, 11, and 12. We are more than halfway through. Only 7 sets left!

Nice job sewbizgirl! I like your neutral fabric. I've had to go scrappy on my background fabric as I don't have enough of just one fabric. I'm trying to keep them in the same color group tho. It's amazing how many beiges, tans, ivory, off whites and such there are.

Sewbizgirl, keep up with the beautiful blocks and I may just have to start collecting Civil War fabrics. They look fantastic.

Thanks, Wildyard. I think scrappy neutrals look great too. That's what I did for my Rest and Refreshing quilt.

Thanks Toverly. When you find nice CW fabrics they do steal your heart. There is a quilt store about an hour away, in Vicksburg near the battlefield where the CW was fought! Of course, they have the best selection of civil war fabric. The name of the store is Stitch n Frame, Bovina MS. They have a website.

I used the block layout diagram, and put all my blocks (so far) up on my design wall. The 'holes' are for the ones we haven't done yet. It's going to be a big, beautiful quilt, I think.

I should do this too. It looks great! I'm only making a throw size so mine will be a lot smaller.

Wow, the pattern really comes to life with the fabrics you have chosen.
