I love the colors and your friend is a very lucky girl!
I ditto the above. I feel a curve pattern will go stunningly well with this pattern. It is very beautiful. Love it and well done

it's a beautiful quilt. wow! I like knlsmith's idea - quilting it with a shell pattern, as it's such a neat and orderly quilt. But meandering will be pretty too.

    Love the quilt BTW.
I don't actually have a walking foot yet. Where's the best place to get one, and how much do they typically cost? (College student budget here!)
I bought a generic walking foot at my LQS. It was $20, or close to it.

I would do a meander, too. Such a pretty quilt, with lots of straight lines and order. I think the disorder of a meander will look great!

How unique! Love the fabrics and the design too. Great work. As far as quilting goes, have you tried any free motion? With the linear quilts I make, I like to add curves doing free motion. Waves running all the same direction would be an option friendly to new FM quilters.

If you never try, you can never do it. Success comes through practice. (**most people won't spot mistakes anyway).

That is a gorgeous quilt! I would stitch about 1 inch inside each square and then do a straight stitch in the darker borders.

Your quilt is very pretty. I am no help with deciding on the quilting.

Nice quilt, love the colors. I would do large meandering as you have a lot of straight lines already. Great sewing.
