Are you still using this? I was thinking of trying to make one.

And thank you AmandasGrandma, Red Garnett, Teacup, and Marcia!!!
And a picture of the quilt when I got done with it. Notice it's not a close up? lol!!!!! I don't think it turned out too bad considering it's my first time FMQ, except for two small doll quilts.
And I didn't break any more needles, so am guessing it was just me going too fast. But on the last row, my machine developed a weird noise.... it kept sewing though, thank God. This machine is about 23 yrs old, and is the only one with a darning foot and drop feeds! I'm going to check and see if it's just full of lint, etc.

This is really neat...I wonder how well it works. I love how it uses very little space and can be stored is a small space.
THAT is INGENIOUS! I could do that here at my house where I'm really limited on space.
Thanks.

MollieSue- your husband is a keeper! You are patient to give it a try & tweak it until it was just right for you! I love that you saved your money for other things you need! Like the price of gas & food lately...Smart lady!

I know this thread is 2 years old now.....so I was wondering how everyone is doing with this quilting frame? I have been thinking for sometime how I (well DH) could make a quilting frame- this is much simpler and doable than my Macgyver mind was conjuring up. I have a shopping list for my DH! I was just wondering if you veterans have any advice for someone just getting started making and quilting on this frame? It sounds wonderful!! I have been getting frustrated trying to manuever a large quilt doing fmq on my machine. Thank you for any advice you can share---and thank you for the design and info already put forth!

We've been looking at how to make a frame and I'm so pleased to see your version. I'm off to show my DH to see if he can copy it. I just can't see why the Flynn model is soooo expensive? Thanks for the great idea.
